2026 March 3

PCC Members:

Welcome to the 2026 golf season and happy to report no price increases on PCC carts or surcharges this year! You can view the MN Course Opening List at www.TwinCitiesGolf.com with some courses opening this week.

Here are the important reminders as we start the season.

1. Reminder that all rounds played in MARCH have a PCC “Shoulder Season Surcharge” (in addition to Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb) due to the extreme high demand when only a few courses are open and are as follows:

Tier 1:
$23 to walk or ride 18 holes
; $15 to walk or ride 9 holes (this applies EVERY day in March: Mon-Sunday)

Tier 2:
Mon-Thurs: $23 to walk or ride 18 holes; $15 to walk or ride 9 holes

Fri-Sunday: $28 to walk or ride, 18 or 9 holes

Tier 3:
$33 (walk or ride 18 or 9 holes)

Tier 4:
$54 (walk or ride 18 or 9 holes)

Tier 5:
$89 (walk or ride 18 or 9 holes)

Clarification: The Shoulder Season Surcharge applies whether walking or riding and includes a cart if available/taken. When courses initially open, many will be walking only and the surcharge still applies whether walking or riding (even if carts are not available).

2. Check to make sure you have your PCC Member ID card. Remember that we must always present our PCC card to play per our "No Card = No Play Policy". If you need a replacement card, go to www.thepubliccc.com/members to order one. If you are a new member & have not received your new PCC member ID card in the mail yet (within the timeframe stated when you joined), please go www.thepubliccc.com/contact to let us know, but reminder you must wait for your card to arrive in the mail to play. NOTE: Any PCC member attempting to check in without their PCC ID card is subject to membership cancellation as this is our strictest rule.

3. To book tee times, ALWAYS go to the MEMBERS tab on www.thePublicCC.com (password is pcc) to view currently participating courses & what Tier they are. We've added some new courses & tiers may change month-to-month. It’s critical every PCC member knows what Tier the course you are playing is so you know the restrictions and costs. Several courses (eg. Creeksbend) also charge an online booking fee for general public so we have a PCC member booking link with special instructions on the MEMBER page of www.ThePublicCC.com. If you are booking online and being forced to pay a fee, CALL the course instead to book your tee time.

4. The following courses have a 3-day advance booking window (meaning you can book Saturday tee times on Wednesday for example): Stonebrooke GC, Fox Hollow GC & Southern Hills GC. The following courses have a 5-day advance booking window (meaning you can book Saturday tee times on Monday  for example): Prestwick GC, Troy Burne GC, The Jewel. As course tiers may change month-to-month, always go to the MEMBERS tab on www.ThePublicCC.com to view the current course tier to book your tee times. Clarification: If a tee time is booked by a non-PCC member more than 3 days in advance (e.g. by a friend) at a booking restricted course, the PCC member will be charged normal green fee rates so we are encouraging PCC members to book the tee times for your tee time to assure compliance.

5. A PCC member may not make consecutive (aka back to back) tee times. Each foursome must be booked by a unique golfer that is playing in that foursome.

6. Reminder that our PCC policy is whoever books the tee time is financially responsible for any no-shows in that tee time so be sure to cancel or reduce your tee time if needed. Courses are instructed to report any no-shows or short-shows to the PCC office. Especially remind any non-PCC golfers in your group that whoever books will be billed for any no-shows.

7. PCC is not valid for use when playing with a group of 9 or more. If you have 9 (whether they are a mix of PCC members or non-members of PCC) or more playing together (consecutive tee times), please contact the course for a group per person rate.

8. Our weekly TwinCitiesGolf events begin in May offering the chance for friendly competition and camaraderie with over $1,000 in payouts weekly. View the upcoming schedule & register to play at www.TwinCitiesGolf.com - use promo code PCC10 to save $10 off EVERY entry fee to all TCG events. You can also save $10 off a USGA handicap at www.TwinCitiesGolf.com using the same promo code.

9. To view current participating PCC courses and their tiers, always go to the MEMBERS tab on www.ThePublicCC.com where you will find each courses instructions and links to book tee times as PCC. Remember that course participation and their tiers may change month-to-month.

In case you haven’t heard, the U of M announced they have permanently closed Les Bolstad. With several courses in the metro closing over the past couple of years and continued historically high demand, it’s now more important than ever that we support and appreciate the courses that continue to participate in the PCC program. It continues to be our mission to help courses thrive, grow the game, and build a great local community of passionate golfers.

Have a great season!
