PCC Members:
Exciting news to share here in our April Member Update and we welcome all the new PCC members with critical reminders for the season.
1. We welcome Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin - a Top 100 Golf Digest rated public course designed by Tom Lehman - to PCC as our first TIER 5 level course! PCC may begin playing at Troy Burne TODAY. The link to book online at Troy Burne (and all PCC courses) is on the MEMBERS page at www.ThePublicCC.com
2. The NEW Tier 5 PCC Level course rules are:
- $89 surcharge every day (includes riding cart if taken).
- Saturday-Sunday-Holiday: PCC blackout (no play) times from 7:00AM to 12:00PM (play before 7:00AM or after 12:00PM).
- Limited to 1 round per month per Tier 5 course.
- 5-Day Booking Window meaning tee times may be booked up to 5 days in advance (eg. on Monday for Saturday).
- NOTE: Prestwick GC will be moving to Tier 5 beginning May 1st and starting May 1 allowing up to 5 day booking window.
3. “NO CARD = NO PLAY” Rule Clarification: PCC members must ALWAYS present our PCC card at check-in. No exceptions. I have instructed courses to report any PCC member attempting to check in without a card, and anyone reported trying to check in without a PCC card is subject to membership cancellation as this is our strictest rule. Do not ask the course if it is OK, it is not. If you forget your PCC card, do not even mention you are PCC, and just pay the normal public rate. If you need a replacement card, go to www.thepubliccc.com/members to order one.
4. The following courses have a 3-day advance booking window (meaning you can book Friday tee times on Tuesday for example): Prestwick GC, Stonebrooke GC, Fox Hollow GC & Southern Hills GC. As this may change month-to-month, always go to the MEMBERS tab on www.ThePublicCC.com to view current course tier & if there is a booking window and book your teetimes. Clarification: If a tee time is booked by a non-PCC member more than 3 days in advance (e.g. by a friend) at a booking restrict course, the PCC member will be charged normal green fee rates so we are encouraging PCC members to book the tee times for your group to assure compliance.
5. PCC has a strict “no fivesome” policy. Please never even ask a course if it’s ok, playing as a fivesome when using PCC is not allowed ever at any course.
6. Please note that many businesses now are adding a 2-4% credit card surcharge fee, which will be added on top of any PCC cart fees or surcharges.
As you play your Spring rounds, please be extra appreciative+supportive of the courses and their staff to help us make a great early in the year impression!
See you on the tee,
Kevin
